The questions we get most.
Right. The Pro trial starts the moment you create an account, and we don’t ask for a card until you cross 14 days or 1,000 words, whichever comes first. If you don’t want to keep going, do nothing. The trial ends, your settings stay saved on the account in case you come back, and we don’t auto-bill.
We’ll ask once whether you want to upgrade: subscribe to Pro, or buy Pay Once for $59 to keep Local Mode. If you don’t, your Vocabulary, Shortcuts, and Tone Match settings stay saved on the account at no charge, so a future trial starts where the last one left off.
Yes. Pay Once is $59, paid once. It unlocks Local Mode: dictation and cleanup that run on your Mac, so your audio never leaves it. It includes one year of updates, which covers new features, improvements, and new Epilude Model versions as they ship in that year, so you are not frozen on the model you bought. After the year you are never forced into a subscription; renew only if you want another year of updates. Cloud Mode is not part of Pay Once; it stays exclusive to Pro.
Both. The one year of updates covers app features and new Epilude Model versions alike, since we ship model improvements as part of the app. You are not model-locked during your update year.
Yes. Cancel from the account settings page or by emailing support@epilude.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No penalty, no exit interview.
