Plans, trial, and billing

What the free trial, Pro, and Pay Once include, where to check your plan and usage, and how to cancel or request a refund.

Epilude has two plans: Pro, a subscription that includes Cloud mode, and Pay Once, a one-time purchase that unlocks Local Mode. Every new account starts with a free Pro trial, no credit card required.

How the free trial works

The trial starts when you create your account and covers full Pro for 14 days or 1,000 dictated words, whichever comes first. There's no card on file, so nothing is billed when it ends.

When the trial ends, Epilude asks once whether you want to upgrade. If you don't, your Vocabulary, Shortcuts, and Tone Match settings stay saved on your account at no charge, and a future trial picks up where you left off.

What each plan includes

PlanPriceWhat it unlocks
Pro$12/month, with a yearly optionEvery feature, including Cloud mode and Local Mode
Pay Once$59, paid onceLocal Mode: on-device dictation and Cleanup that never send audio off your Mac. Includes one year of app and Epilude Model updates

Cloud mode needs an active Pro subscription or trial; Pay Once never includes it. After a Pay Once update year ends the app keeps working as it is, and renewing is optional: it only buys another year of updates.

Check your plan and usage

Open Settings → Plan & Usage to see your current plan and usage. Upgrades start there too: pick a plan and checkout opens in your browser.

Cancel or change your plan

Cancel Pro from the web dashboard. In the app, click your account at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Manage Account, or sign in at app.epilude.com directly. On the dashboard, click Manage billing to open your billing portal, with options to cancel, change your payment method, or view invoices. You can also email support@epilude.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep access until then.

Refunds

Refunds are available within 30 days of your first purchase, reviewed case by case. The refund policy has the details.
